Web Designer Digital Marketing Assistant

**Job Scope**:

- **Platform Management**: Develop, maintain, and optimize websites across various platforms, including Shopify.
- **Custom Development & Design**: Modify custom themes, plugins, and integrations, while also contributing to the design and user interface to ensure visually appealing and functional websites.
- **E-commerce Integration**: Implement and manage e-commerce solutions, focusing on both the functionality and aesthetic appeal on platforms like Shopify.
- **Content & Design Management**: Assist in content updates, design improvements, and overall site aesthetics to enhance user experience and align with brand identity.
- **Responsive Design**: Ensure that all websites are responsive, user-friendly, and adhere to modern design principles and web standards.
- **Troubleshooting & Design Tweaks**: Diagnose and fix technical issues, as well as refine design elements for better performance and visual appeal.
- **Collaborate with internal team**: Create marketing collaterals aligned with brand values, brand objectives, target audience preferences, and industry trends.
- **Analytics & Reporting**: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Webcite UI/UX and digital marketing initiatives.
- **Brainstorming Marketing Plans**: Working closely with internal teams in marketing tools and executing plans.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a consistent visual identity across various projects.
- Undertake any additional tasks or projects assigned by superiors or the company to contribute to overall marketing objectives

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Digital, Creative, Graphics or Multimedia Design discipline.
- At least 2 years of working experience in shooting website design.
- **Technical Skills **(mandatory)**:

- **HTML5, CSS3**: Strong proficiency in creating and styling web pages.

**Design Skills **(Good to have):

- **UI/UX Design**: Basic understanding of user interface and user experience design principles.
- **Graphic Design Software**: Proficiency in tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma for creating and editing visuals.
- **Typography & Color Theory**: Knowledge of design fundamentals to ensure aesthetically pleasing web layouts.
- **Wireframing & Prototyping**: Ability to create wireframes and prototypes to visualize and plan website layouts before development.
- **JavaScript**: Basic to intermediate knowledge for enhancing interactivity and functionality.
- **PHP**: Essential for WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
- **Liquid**: Shopify's templating language, crucial for developing and customizing Shopify themes.
- **API Integration**: Ability to work with various APIs to extend CMS functionality, such as payment gateways, CRM systems, and third-party services.
- **Version Control (Git)**: Experience with version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
- **Responsive Design Principles**: Knowledge of responsive frameworks like Bootstrap, and understanding how to create mobile-friendly designs.
- **Cross-Browser Compatibility**: Ensuring that websites function correctly on all major browsers.
- Proficiency in English & Malay. Mandarin is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Have own transport.
