**PAINTING INSPECTOR, KK BASED (MAY 2025 - JUNE 2025)**

Key Responsibilities:
**1. Periodic Inspections**
- Conduct inspections as per COMPANY guidelines and procedures or upon request.
- Determine the condition of painting/coating systems as a basis for assessing their integrity on onshore and offshore facilities.

**2. Workscoping Inspections**
- Inspect existing COMPANY assets to determine their condition and identify areas requiring maintenance painting.
- Quantify the affected areas to provide inputs for planning, execution, resource estimation, and logistics.

**3. Quality Control**
- Oversee major and minor blasting/painting activities at onshore and offshore sites.
- Witness, verify, and document inspection activities, including but not limited to:
1. Environmental conditions before blasting/painting.

2. Surface preparation and cleanliness.

3. Condition and expiry of paint components, solvents, and materials.

4. Correct mixing of paint components.

6. Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings.

7. Cleanliness between paint layers.

8. Pinhole, holiday, and adhesion testing.

9. Verification of paint schemes, curing time, and personnel qualifications.

**4. Condition Monitoring**
- Monitor existing painting systems on offshore platforms and onshore terminals.
- Support COMPANY's condition-based maintenance programs.

**5. Reporting**
- Prepare daily progress reports, including material usage and inspection activities.
- Compile inspection reports in the required format, ensuring accuracy and completeness for use by other departments.

**6. Equipment Maintenance**
- Calibrate inspection tools and equipment before each job.
- Report defective tools to the COMPANY and ensure timely rectification or replacement.
- Maintain tools in good working condition.

**7. Technical Collaboration**
- Actively participate in technical discussions with other departments.
- Provide insights based on inspection findings.

**8. Documentation**
- Compile and submit reports after each inspection activity, adhering to COMPANY requirements.

**Qualifications**

A. Academic and Certification Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent academic qualification.
- Possession of valid certifications such as, AMPP Level II, IMM Certified Coating Inspector Level II, or BGAS CSWIP (or equivalent).
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in blasting/painting inspection, including offshore/onshore site work.

B. Skills and Attributes
- Knowledgeable in insulation and Passive Fire Protection (PFP).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (e.g., GA, P&ID).
- Sound knowledge of international standards and codes related to oil and gas industries (e.g., ASME, AWS, API, SSPC, BGAS, NACE, and DOSH standards).
- Ability to review and comment on painting procedures and inspection reports.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to supervise, coordinate, and mentor other inspectors.
- Offshore working experience is preferred.
- Competence in technical report writing and presentations.
- Good command of Malay and English, both written and spoken.

**Job Types**: Contract, Freelance
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: RM550.00 - RM650.00 per day

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
