This includes preparing patients and the work area for treatments, sterilizing instruments, handing instruments during procedures, and educating patients on oral hygiene. They also manage records, schedule appointments, and may handle billing and payment. Detailed Job Scope:1. Patient Care and Preparation:

- **Welcoming and Preparing Patients**: Greet patients, check them in, and ensure they are comfortable.
- **Taking Medical History**: Gather patient medical and dental history, vital signs, and take blood pressure.
- **Answering Patient Questions**: Address patient concerns and provide information about procedures and oral hygiene.

2. Chairside Assistance:

- **Preparing the Treatment Room**: Set up the treatment room, arrange instruments, and ensure the work area is clean and sterile.
- **Assisting During Procedures**: Hand instruments, manage suction, hold equipment, and provide support during dental procedures.
- **Taking Impressions**: Make dental impressions for study casts or other dental work.

3. Sterilization and Equipment Management:

- **Sterilizing Instruments**: Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
- **Maintaining Inventory**: Manage and order dental supplies and equipment.

4. Record Keeping and Administrative Tasks:

- **Maintaining Patient Records**: Keep accurate records of dental treatments, appointments, and other relevant information.
- **Scheduling Appointments**: Schedule patient appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and confirm appointments.
- **Billing and Payment**: Assist with billing and payment procedures for patients.

5. Other Duties:

- **Educating Patients**: Provide instruction on proper oral hygiene, brushing techniques, flossing, and post-treatment care.
- **Taking X-rays**: Some dental assistants are trained to take and process dental X-rays.
- **Performing Lab Tasks**: Assist with lab tasks as directed by the dentist.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
