1.Responsible for the effective supervision of assigned staff including leave approval, performance management, employee relations, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities. 2.Performs difficult concrete work such as rebuilding or replacing masonry such as stairs, wheel chair ramps and manhole casting; leveling, smoothing, shaping and curing concrete; installing, adjusting and repairing manholes and cast iron tree grates; constructing curb and gutter, sidewalks, parking lots, traffic islands, storm drains, ramps, driveway aprons and special projects. 3.Removes old concrete and debris and performs general landscaping. 4.Prepares and reviews work orders and processes; implements work processes and safety standards; estimates materials for projects; maintains and monitors inventory of equipment, parts, tools, supplies work orders, service requests and quality assurance programs. 5.Provides cost estimates; evaluates resource needs and manages the effective deployment of resources. Advises staff on difficult issues and makes decisions on exceptional situations to manage and implement appropriate services and assistance; responds to citizen inquires and complaints.
