General Cashier

Function: Responsible for the cashiering function of the hotel. 1. To collect and count, with an assigned witness, a cashiers' remittance envelopes from drop safe at Front office and to verify them against Remittance Envelopes Summary 2. To prepare bank deposit slips all cash taking, cheques, foreign currency and to ensure that all cash/cheque collections are deposited on a timely basis and intact. 3. To prepare General Cashier's Report by entering the day's detailed cash collection and all other payment received for review and completion by Income Auditor/Accountant / Accounts Manager 4. To key-in General Cashier Report into Attache General Ledger after verification of accounts code by Accountant/ Accounts Manager 5. To provide Front Office Assistant and F&B outlet's cashiers with required small change and extra funds needed for weekends or particular events. 6. To reimburse Front Office Assistant for disbursement made by them (due back). 7. To check own daily cash fund and ensure that all collections not yet deposit in bank are intact. 8. To disburse petty cash/advance petty cash and part-timer requests the Management has approved. 9. To prepare weekly reimbursement of GC fund for petty cash and part-timer payout. 10. To control, manage, train and supervise all F&B outlets cashier. 11. To prepare duty roster and control leaves and duties of the F&B outlet cashier. 12. To check all cashiers outlets frequently and ensure that all necessary procedures relating to cashier's are exercised. 13. To maintain and control the issue of F&B check (bills) to the F&B outlets cashiers and to constantly monitor that all necessary procedure are strictly adhered to.
