As we continue to scale, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) to lead our operations and drive business growth.

**### **Role Overview**:
As the General Manager for our FMCG startup, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the direction of the company’s operations, brand development, and overall growth. You will oversee the day-to-day activities, manage key departments, and work closely with the senior leadership team to define and execute the company’s vision and strategic initiatives. Your goal will be to optimize operational efficiency, drive revenue growth, and enhance brand presence in both traditional and digital markets.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic goals and objectives in alignment with the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Lead the development of short and long-term business strategies, focusing on growth, profitability, and market expansion.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and business development.

2. Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring effective management across departments such as marketing, sales, supply chain, finance, and product development.
- Streamline operations to maximize efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop and enforce KPIs for all departments to ensure performance is tracked and goals are met.

3. P&L Responsibility & Financial Oversight
- Lead the financial planning process, ensuring effective budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor and manage the P&L to meet company financial objectives, including cost control, margin optimization, and revenue growth.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives while investing in high-return areas of the business.

4. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue across both traditional and digital channels (e-commerce, retail, distributors).
- Build and nurture relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential partnerships to fuel growth.

5. Brand Management & Marketing
- Lead and collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling brand strategies and campaigns that resonate with target consumers.
- Develop a strong online and offline presence through social media, influencer marketing, traditional advertising, and other channels.
- Monitor consumer feedback and market trends to ensure the product portfolio is aligned with customer needs and preferences.

6. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various departments.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and employee development to build a strong and capable team.

7. Supply Chain & Distribution
- Oversee supply chain management to ensure product availability, minimize stockouts, and optimize inventory levels.
- Manage logistics and distribution channels to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
- Work with external suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to secure quality products at competitive costs.

8. Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., product safety, labeling, certifications).
- Stay abreast of industry changes and ensure the company adheres to sustainability practices and corporate social responsibility standards.

**Required Qualifications & Experience**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in FMCG, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or management role. Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends. Experience in both traditional and digital retail channels is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive performance results.
- Financial Acumen: Strong experience with P&L management, financial forecasting, and budgeting.
- Operational Excellence: Hands-on experience in improving operational processes and implementing scalable systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both local and international contexts.
