**About the Position**:
The **Global Commodity Manager - Sustaining **will own the CPU and FPGA component level planning, inventory management, and supply health for sustaining Juniper products and oversee supply chain process improvement strategies. The applicant will understand all aspects of the end-to-end component supply chain; and lead in ensuring continuity of supply while optimizing cost. You will be an engaging communicator and bring an advanced analytical and process improvement skillset. Through detailed data analysis and collaboration with cross functional teams, you will act on strategic initiatives, highlight risk, recommend solutions, and execute.

**Responsibilities**:
**Supply Management**
- Drive fulfillment strategies across component suppliers, distributors/3PLs, ODM/CMs, and Juniper. This includes enhancing an inventory management strategy and handling its execution.
- Optimize inventory turns in a changing environment while resolving material shortages with sense of urgency.
- Management of co-planning/CPFR supplier meetings, including enhancing and automating reporting
- Maintain commodity specific performance criteria in alignment with forecast and strategic plans.

**Process Improvements**
- Develop tools and processes that will enable a fulfillment system that optimizes supply availability and cost across multiple nodes of the supply chain.
- Drive analytics for supply chain operations, develop business decision models for supply chain risks, develop execution plans and implement them to reduce risks.
- Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional team members including Planning, Mfg. Operations, Finance, ODM/CM partners, 3PL, Secondary Market companies to create an elite supply fulfillment system.

**Commodity Management**
- Develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and measure performance with regular business reviews.
- Align suppliers and Juniper technology roadmaps through understanding of market trends, Juniper future requirements, and each suppliers’ technology value proposition.
- Build relationships with suppliers’ executives and negotiate favorable supply terms.
- Represent Juniper’s needs to the industry and drive strategic partnerships to enable aligned investments and go-to-market strategies.
- Lead and coordinate technology transitions; EOL/LTBs, new technology ramps, new supplier qualifications.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and drive implementation with a cross functional team.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum BS (Business/Supply Chain Industrial Eng) with combined 8+ years of Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations experience in technology industry.
- Advanced analytics/Excel skillset. Experience monitoring data consistency, troubleshooting, consolidating large data tables into executive views, and analytics highlighting changes and trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience and knowledge in CPU/FPGA commodities, network systems and solutions, semiconductor manufacturing processes and procedures, and sub-tier supply base.
- Demonstrated experience and exposure with CEM, ODM and JDM Mfg. model.
- Experience working with and managing external suppliers and manufacturers.
