About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Officer to join our dynamic team at Kumpulan BTC Berhad. As an IT Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our company's technology infrastructure. This full-time position is based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network systems
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and related equipment
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance system security and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and address technological challenges
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of various software and systems
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records of IT-related activities

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT support or administration role
  • Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with end-users
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of network administration, database management, and security best practices
