About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Culinary Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine) is responsible for the preparation, service, hygiene quality and presentation, which covers Banquet, All-Day Dining, Club Floor and a la carte. The Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine) reports to the Executive Chinese Chef/ Chinese Sous Chef.
As Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- The station assigned to him by his Executive Chinese Chef / Chinese Sous Chef
- He/she helps his Head Food Processor/ Chinese Sous Chef to prepare food in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
- He/she is to help preventing spoilage and overproduction through daily checks
- Maintains communication between his supervisor and his subordinates
- He/she is responsible for cleanliness and keeping of set hygiene standards in the assigned area
- Ensures mise-en-place is always done according to the Standard Operating Procedures
As Food Processor (Chinese Cuisine), we expect from you:
- Able to read Chinese characters

- Well- rounded culinary skills
- Minimum completed Secondary School education.
- Apprenticeship in Chinese Kitchen
