About the role
As an Architectural Draftperson at Square Engineering, you will be responsible for producing detailed architectural drawings and designs that will support the company's construction projects in Butterworth, Penang. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drafting professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality building solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for architectural projects
- Work closely with architects and engineers to interpret design requirements and bring projects to life
- Produce technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Ensure drawings comply with all relevant building codes, regulations and standards
- Support the project management team by providing accurate and timely drawings
- Collaborate with the wider design and construction team to resolve any technical issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design software, techniques and industry developments
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role, ideally in a construction or engineering environment
- Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp
- Strong technical drawing and documentation skills with an eye for detail
- Understanding of building codes, regulations and construction practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture, Building Design or a related field
