Primary Function
  • Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure optimal production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead strategic planning, team management, and cross-department coordination to achieve production and business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all production activities to achieve daily and weekly output targets.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to maintain smooth operations.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), downtime, and scrap rates.
  • Identify issues and implement corrective actions to address delays, quality problems, or equipment failures.
  • Supervise and develop night-shift supervisors, leads, and production staff, ensuring adequate manpower and high performance.
  • Conduct coaching, training, and performance reviews to enhance employee capabilities.
  • Maintain a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Enforce company policies, manage disciplinary actions, and resolve workplace conflicts.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP, OSHA).
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive measures for defects or non-conformances.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, safety audits, and compliance records.
  • Uphold safety standards through strict PPE enforcement, risk assessments, and regular safety briefings.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop preventive strategies.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to drive process optimization and technology adoption.
  • Prepare and present shift performance reports to senior management.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating critical issues and production priorities.
  • Work closely with day-shift management to align production goals and optimize resource allocation.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of production planning and ERP/MRP systems.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and team motivation in high-pressure settings.
  • Possesses integrity, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
