This competency unit title describes the competency in upkeep, cultivation, harvesting, collection and pruning mechanisation operation supervision.

He or she is responsible to analyse, coordinate, monitor and control the activities and to ensure that they are carried out according to plan and schedule.

The person who is competent shall be able to analyse the upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning operation requirements. Able to coordinate upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operations. Able to monitor the upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operation. Able to perform upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operations. Ability to control, evaluate the upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operation effectively. Able to prepare the upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operations report.

The outcome of this competency is to ensure that all the activities involving the upkeep, cultivation, harvesting and pruning mechanisation operations are well coordinated, monitored and controlled to ensure that production and quality are achieved according to the determined plan and schedule.
