Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management Accounting
  • Lead and execute all financial management accounting activities, ensuring high accuracy, full compliance, and timely period-end closing.
  • Costing & Inventory Controls

Establish and maintain a robust standard product costing system and inventory control framework.

Conduct periodic scrap audits and monthly excess/obsolete inventory reviews, providing detailed root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations.

Manage monthly COGS reconciliation and perform comprehensive variance analysis (PPV, mix, usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption).

  • Reporting & Consolidation

Oversee and prepare timely monthly financial and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance commentary.

Prepare semi-annual consolidation reports in alignment with group reporting standards and deadlines.

Lead the annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecast processes

.Implement monthly budgetary controls, monitor variances, and initiate corrective actions to ensure financial discipline.

Manage end-to-end treasury operations, including cash flow planning, liquidity management, and funding arrangements.

Optimize working capital and ensure strong financial stability.

Oversee annual income tax submissions in collaboration with external advisors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to statutory requirements.

Develop, update, and enforce financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls to strengthen corporate governance and operational integrity.

Review the general ledger, trial balance, and supporting financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely financial closing.

Evaluate and validate inventory valuation methods (standard cost, FIFO, weighted average), ensuring alignment with GAAP/IFRS and internal standards.

Review and approve standard product costs for all models.

Lead periodic cost roll exercises and ensure BOM and routing accuracy.

Monitor, track, and report environmental cost components (waste, energy, compliance fees) to support sustainability performance metrics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA) are highly preferred.

  • 7–12 years of progressive experience in cost accounting or management accounting, preferably within manufacturing or operations-driven environments.
  • Strong expertise in COGS analysis, standard costing, inventory valuation, and detailed variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of local tax regulations and hands-on experience in treasury and liquidity management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10, RM11,000.00 per month
