Road Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Road Supervisor to oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of estate roads. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of laterite road construction, drainage systems, and heavy machinery operations, and is able to lead a team effectively in a plantation environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• CIDB Green Card / NIOSH Safety Passport / OSH-related training (preferred)

• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English

• Valid driving license (preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in road construction, maintenance, or supervision — preferably in the plantation industry

• Strong knowledge of:

• Laterite road construction

• Grading and compaction

• Drainage and culvert maintenance

• Road upkeep during rainy seasons

• Familiar with heavy machinery operations (grader, excavator, backhoe, compactor)

• Proven supervisory experience leading road or maintenance teams

• Experience implementing and enforcing safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all estate road construction, repair, and maintenance activities

• Ensure proper grading, compaction, drainage, and overall road quality

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSH requirements

• Manage machinery, materials, and manpower efficiently

• Monitor road conditions and plan preventive maintenance

• Coordinate with contractors and machinery operators when required

• Prepare and submit progress reports to the Estate Manager / Senior Manager

• Ensure all work is carried out according to company standards and timelines
