ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, optimize, and sustain SMT and mechanical assembly process. Focus on laser soldering and selective wave soldering processes.Lead process characterization, DOE, and root cause analysis for yield and quality improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to support NPI and mass production.Evaluate and implement new equipment, tooling, and process technologies.Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and FMEAs.Provide technical training and guidance to production and engineering teams.Monitor process KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Support customer audits and technical reviews.Drive for process cpk improvement to meet cpk goal of >1.67 and stretch goal of >2.0.Drive for process yield FPY improvement to meet >99.5%.Define process troubleshoot procedure for manufacturing with all process triggered alarm or process trouble shooting OCAPs available and OCAP effectives are validated.QualificationsPreferred:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering pr any equivalent.Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing process field.Required:Knowledge of soldering principles, flux chemistry, thermal profiling, and IPC standards.Proficient in DOE, SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).Experience with automation, vision inspection systems, and process control software is a plus.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.Skills:Laser soldering and/or selective wave soldering processes will add advantaged.Additional InformationSandisk thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
