MILL MANAGER

Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily mill operations to achieve target OER, KER, and throughput. Supervise and coordinate milling processes to optimize production efficiency.

· Plan and monitor maintenance of mill machinery and equipment.

· Ensure compliance with safety (PTW, LOTO), DOE, DOSH, MPOB, RSPO/MSPO requirements.

· Monitor product quality, control losses (press cake, sludge, kernel) and improve process efficiency.

· Recruit, train, and manage mill employees, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols for safe and smooth operation.

· Manage budgets, cost control, inventory, and spare parts.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

· Ensure smooth operation of all machinery

· Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.

Authorities:

· Operational & Production Authority – Authorizing process changes and improvements to enhance productivity. Implementing operational strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

· Personnel Authority - Assigning work schedules, defining roles, and evaluating staff performance. Hiring, training, and managing mill employees.

· Financial & Budgetary Authority - Managing the mill's budget and controlling costs to maximize profitability. Authorizing overtime, bonuses, and performance incentives.

· Equipment & Maintenance Authority - Approving maintenance schedules and repair work for machinery and equipment. Overseeing mill infrastructure improvements and expansions. Authorizing the purchase of new equipment and replacement parts

· Safety & Compliance Authority - Enforcing workplace safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health and environmental regulations. Approving safety training programs and risk management strategies. Conducting safety audits and authorizing corrective measures for compliance issues.

· Quality Control & Process Authority - Setting and maintaining quality assurance standards for products. Approving raw materials and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Making final decisions on product specifications and process adjustments.

· Supply Chain & Logistics Authority - Managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate raw material supply. Approving transportation and logistics plans.

Competence Requirements:

Education:

· years of relevant experience in the industry.

· Bachelor in Engineering

· Steam Engineer Grade Two and above

Skills:

· Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

· Knowledge of milling equipment and maintenance

· Understanding of health and safety regulations

· Budgeting and financial planning skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
