1. Daily Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan and schedule daily haulage trips for containers (import/export).
  • Assign drivers, trucks, and trailers according to availability and job priority.
  • Ensure efficient routing to reduce empty trips and maximize productivity.

2. Coordination with Stakeholders

  • Liaise with customers, forwarding agents, shipping lines, and depot operators.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and transport teams for smooth job execution.
  • Communicate job details and updates clearly to drivers.

3. Documentation & System Update

  • Prepare job orders, delivery instructions, and transport documents.
  • Update system records (job status, truck movement, container information).
  • Ensure all relevant documents are complete for billing and compliance.

4. Monitoring & Problem-Solving

  • Track truck movements and progress throughout the day.
  • Handle sudden changes (e.g., delays, breakdowns, port issues).
  • Resolve operational issues and provide solutions promptly.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all transport activities follow company SOP, JPJ, port, and depot regulations.
  • Monitor driver compliance with safety procedures and working hours.

6. Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on completed jobs, delays, and fleet performance.
  • Highlight any operational issues for management attention.

7. Customer Service

  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding job status.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally.

Requirement:

  • At least 1–2 years of working experience as a Haulage Planner or in a similar transport planning role.
