Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planting activities including seed preparation, sowing, germination checks, and transplanting.
  • Monitor daily plant health, growth progress, and report any abnormalities (wilt, pests, nutrient issues).
  • Operate and support the testing of the farming system, including sensors, pumps, dosing units, and environmental controls.
  • Conduct basic system checks such as water flow, nutrient levels, lighting schedule, and overall equipment functionality.
  • Collect and record operational data such as planting dates, growth observations, yield weights, and system readings.
  • Assist in routine maintenance tasks including cleaning towers/trays, checking water tanks, refilling nutrients, and ensuring good farm hygiene.
  • Support harvesting, sorting, and packaging activities according to quality standards.
  • Work closely with the project or technical team by providing feedback on system performance and farm operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of basic planting and hydroponic techniques.
  • Ability to follow SOPs accurately.
  • Basic understanding of sensors and automated systems (training provided).
  • Observation skills to detect early plant and system issues.
  • Ability to document activities clearly and consistently.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in hydroponics or vertical farming.
  • Understanding of EC, pH, Water Quality metrics.
  • Basic troubleshooting of farm equipment.
  • Comfort working with mobile apps, dashboards, or data logging tools.
