POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)

Supervisor of Hong Kong Regional Office ("HKRO") & MY R&D, supported by MYGBS Controllership, Corporate Tax and Treasury teams, is responsible for supporting the FM to handle the financial and administration of HKRO and MYR&D books including monthly financial reporting, statutory accounts, daily operations, etc. This role will work closely with different departments including but not limited to MYGBS, HKRO, MYR&D, APAC Regional Controllership, Corporate Tax and Corporate Treasury teams in ensuring business transactions and results are recorded and reported with integrity, transparency and in a timely manner, and smooth daily operations

HKRO, the regional office of Herbalife APAC, with principal activities of providing support to regional management team and intercompany funding.

MYR&D is the R&D Center for APAC, with principal activities of providing R&D services to the region.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Interact with cross functional teams who are in different geographical locations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis and smooth daily operations.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: List the expectations for each job responsibility including quality and quantity standards to which the incumbent is required to perform and receive a rating for during the Performance Appraisal.

• Responsible to assist the FM for the month end completion of financial statements (FS) and reporting of HKRO & MYR&D. Assist and prepare monthly FS and analysis.
• Review monthly Balance Sheet accounting analysis, and ensure proper classification and analysis is provided.
• Assist in new vendor creation requests.
• Review invoice validation file to ensure correct classification of expenses and coding.
• Review payment batches to ensure timely payments and adequacy of funds.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
• Responsible for ensuring integrity of financial statements for Local statutory/ GAAPs accounting and reporting.
• Coordinate month end closing activities and communication among HKRO departments, HKRO Controllership, country finance, GBS etc.
• Provide Finance input and support as and when necessary on new contracts / activities, process or systems changes, SOX / internal audit reviews.
• Liaise with GBS on day to day financial operations and provide input during monthly service level reviews with GBS Accounting team to ensure issues are addressed timely.
• Liaise with external auditor and tax agent and company secretary
• Assist in continuous improvement and standardization in processes.
• Strengthening internal control whilst ensuring financial accounting and reporting are in accordance to corporate policies and procedures.
• Support daily operations such as review and approval of expense reimbursements, communicate with banks on execution of intercompany loans
• Participate in Group/Regional/GBS initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience (audit experience is an added advantage)
• Experience in full set / GL / Accounting to Reporting is preferred
• Experience working with teams located in different geographical location is preferred

Education

• Finance/Accounting Graduate
• Preferably pursuing a professional certification (MIA/CPA/ACCA/ICAEW).
