Performance and Reliability Engineer

In This Role You Will

  • Monitor and optimize chiller efficiency, cooling tower operations, pump performance, and energy consumption.
  • Implement strategies to enhance system efficiency, fine-tune chilled water temperatures, and reduce energy costs.
  • Utilize SCADA, BMS, and analytics tools to track performance trends and identify improvements.
  • Define and uphold KPIs to measure and improve plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures (chillers, pumps, cooling towers, piping systems) to prevent recurrence.
  • Apply reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) to minimize downtime and enhance system availability.
  • Recommend and oversee corrective actions, modifications, and upgrades for improved reliability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to proactively address potential failures.
  • Establish preventive and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs for critical equipment.
  • Apply condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing) to assess equipment health.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and work plans to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset register and reliability database.
  • Manage and report operational data, supporting performance assessments for management.
  • Uphold engineering standards for the Megajana chilled water pipe network, including specifications, records, and compliance with international piping standards (API/ASME).
  • Serve as the key liaison for external projects impacting the chilled water network.
  • Conduct integrity and reliability analyses, including system-wide failure probability assessments.
  • Lead or coordinate failure investigations on materials, corrosion, and other issues.

You're A Great Fit If You Have

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • A deep understanding of reliability engineering, maintenance management, and energy optimization.
  • Proven ability to analyze failures, implement preventive strategies, and optimize plant performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SCADA, BMS, and CMMS software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASHRAE, ARI, API, ASME).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
