Job description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development

  • Develop new features and user interfaces from wireframes and requirements.
  • Build, test, and maintain responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Write clean, scalable, and testable code.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform functional and compatibility testing.
  • Collaborate with teams to refine requirements and propose solutions.
  • Explore and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.

2. Website Development

  • Design and maintain responsive company websites and microsites.
  • Ensure alignment with branding and digital strategy.
  • Optimize for SEO, loading speed, and mobile performance.
  • Implement analytics, tracking, and monitoring tools.

3. IT Administration

  • Support desktops, laptops, network devices, and printers.
  • Install and maintain operating systems and required software.
  • Monitor hardware assets and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with network connectivity and general IT troubleshooting.

4. Employee IT Support

  • Set up email, accounts, access rights, and devices for new hires.
  • Manage user permissions and security settings.
  • Perform data wipes and device recovery during offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies.

5. Troubleshooting & Helpdesk

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and escalate when needed.
  • Monitor system alerts and ensure timely issue resolution.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience or certifications accepted.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in web application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Laravel (backend) and (frontend).
  • Proven experience in PHP full-stack development.
  • Experience with GitLab, Git, Linux, and cPanel deployments.
  • IoT or hardware integration experience (e.g., Chipstack) is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of Laravel, , and modern development workflows.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and version control practices.
  • Understanding of CMS platforms, web hosting, and server configurations.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, security, and data protection.
  • Bonus: Experience with IoT devices or hardware interfacing.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Clear communication and ability to explain technical issues.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player.
