SSHE Executive

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To carry out daily audits and reporting of the factory surroundings, report any SSHE findings, and ensure the relevant department takes necessary corrective and preventive action.
• To establish a procedure to ensure compliance with relevant Regulations & Guidelines.
• To inspect and ensure workplaces comply with the SHE standard. Scope shall cover plant, machinery, environment, people behaviour (BBS), safe work system, and standard.
• To establish and maintain records of accidents and injuries and submit reports to DOSH where required.
• To assist in the overall development of Safety, Health, and Environment towards the zero LTI principle.
• To lead the investigation of any accident (including near miss), dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and occupational disease that occurs at the workplace.
• To lead superior in investigation and compilation of Near Miss Cases and follow up until cases are closed.
• To lead the SSHE Committee in organising and implementing the OSH and environmental program.
• To facilitate the visiting of governmental officers (DOE, DOSH, Local Council, etc.) while carrying out their duties in the company.
• Responsible for the proper handling, storage, and disposal of general and scheduled wastes.
• To coordinate scheduled inspections for air pollution control equipment such as chimneys, LEV, etc., to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• To arrange and/or conduct SSHE-related trainings such as safe work system, chemical handling, etc.
• To provide induction training for employees and contractors on the company's safety rules & regulations.
• To maintain first aid and emergency facilities.
• To perform other duties as assigned or requested by Management from time to time.

JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS

• Preferably with a Degree in Safety & Health, Engineering, or any Science field.
• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar environment.
• Familiar with Malaysia HSE Legal Requirements such as OSHA 1994 Act, Factories and Machinery Act with Regulations, and Environmental Quality Act, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
