About Our Client

With a steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of governance and integrity, they are seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance to join their dynamic team and ensure robust compliance practices across key areas of their operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks, ensuring effective management and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct assessments, tests, and investigations to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Manage compliance risks and incidents, including identifying root causes, recommending corrective measures, and implementing follow-up actions.
  • Advise on regulatory requirements concerning business strategies, product launches, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Deliver compliance training programs to foster a culture of governance and regulatory awareness across the organization.
  • Prepare comprehensive and high-quality compliance reports for internal committees, regional offices, and regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee the adequacy and competency of compliance resources to meet regulatory and operational requirements effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial services laws and regulations, particularly Malaysian regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in life and health insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability in risk assessment, problem-solving, report-writing, and presentations.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance industry, with deep expertise in market conduct compliance, AML/CFT, ABAC, and fraud risk management.
