Stamping Press Operator

1. Position Summary

The Stamping Press Operator is responsible for operating stamping machines to produce metal parts according to production schedules, ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality at all times.

  1. Key Responsibilities

    A. Machine Operation

Operate stamping press machine according to SOP and production instructions.

Load metal sheets/coil blanks into the press and unload finished parts.

Perform machine start-up, basic settings, and shutdown safely.

Ensure correct die/mold is used according to job order (with leader's confirmation).

B. Quality Control

Perform visual and dimensional checks on stamped parts.

Conduct first-piece inspection and follow QC requirements.

Separate OK, NG, and rework parts properly.

Report any defects, burrs, scratches, dent, or dimensional issues immediately.

C. Safety Compliance

Wear mandatory PPE (ear plug, glove, safety shoes, etc.).

Follow machine safety rules including guarding, two-hand control, and emergency stop use.

Ensure area is free from hazards—oil spills, scrap, sharp edges, loose materials.

Report unsafe acts and near-misses instantly to supervisor.

D. Housekeeping & 5S

Maintain cleanliness of stamping press area.

Keep tools, bins, and materials arranged according to 5S standards.

Remove scrap and waste material safely.

E. Reporting

Record production quantity, rejects, and downtime in the sheet/MES system.

Inform leader or technician in case of machine abnormalities or breakdown.

  1. Qualifications

Minimum SPM or equivalent.

Experience in stamping or factory work is an added advantage.

Able to handle physical work and stand long hours.

Basic understanding of safety practices.

  1. Skills & Competencies

Basic machine handling skills.

Good hand–eye coordination.

Attention to detail.

Ability to follow instructions and SOP.

Teamwork and discipline.

  1. Working Conditions

Shift work (day/night).

Hot, noisy environment typical of stamping facilities.

Requires physical strength to handle materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,200.00 per month
