About the role

This is a full-time Accountant role at TRAVILION GROUP, located in Kuching, Sarawak. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  2. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  3. Reconciling bank accounts and other financial accounts
  4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  6. Providing financial analysis and insights to support the company's decision-making processes
  7. Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. Must possess with Professional qualifications such as MIA/ ACCA or equivalent
  3. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the property development/ construction industry
  4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  5. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
  8. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
