JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

1) System Design & Architecture

  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of automation and shopfloor systems aligned with business requirements.
  • Create technical solution designs, data flows, system diagrams, and integration strategies.

2) Development & Coding

  • Develop software components using Microsoft .NET technologies for communication between machines, MES (e.g., CAMSTAR), SAP, and reporting systems.
  • Build Web Services, Windows Services, APIs, and back-end applications to support automation workflows.
  • Implement front-end interfaces where necessary for monitoring, reporting, and operator interaction.

3) MES & SAP Integration

  • Design, integrate, and enhance MES with SAP systems (e.g., SAP .NET Connector) to support manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and evolve middleware and services to ensure seamless data exchange across platforms.

4) Operational Support & Maintenance

  • Provide ongoing support for automation and shopfloor systems, ensuring system uptime, stability, and performance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system defects, integration issues, and production bottlenecks.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring issues.

5) Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze current shopfloor processes to identify automation opportunities and efficiency gains.
  • Propose, scope, and execute enhancements to existing systems based on business needs.

6) Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with factory automation teams, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors/partners to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Translate operational requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Communicate effectively across functions with clarity and professionalism.

7) Quality, Best Practices & Standards

  • Follow software development best practices (version control, coding standards, CI/CD, testing).
  • Ensure system documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical planning sessions.

8) Learning & Innovation

  • Stay updated with automation frameworks, new tools, and technologies to enrich the technical stack and productivity.
  • Experiment with new methodologies and automation approaches to drive innovation.

9) Leadership & Mentoring

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, set technical direction, and assist team members in complex problem solving.
  • Lead technical projects end-to-end with accountability for delivery quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1) Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent engineering discipline.

2) Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with .NET framework and related technologies.
  • Practical knowledge of Web Services, APIs, Windows Service architecture.
  • Familiarity with CAMSTAR, SAP integration (SAPNCO), and MES ecosystem.
  • Understanding of shopfloor automation technologies (communication protocols, PLC/SCADA basics an advantage).
  • Experience with software lifecycle tools (Git, Jenkins, Agile methodologies).

3) Professional Skills:

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead technically and work autonomously.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
