About the role

Alam Setia Bina Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Junior/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Nibong Tebal, Penang. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans for construction projects
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor and supplier contracts
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Prepare and submit interim and final valuations, variations, and claims
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and services
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Fresh graduation is welcome to apply
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with construction regulations, standards, and industry best practices
