As part of our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Equipment Manager to lead and optimize our equipment operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Equipment Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of all manufacturing machinery related to Eastfound Malaysia's production processes. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless production operations, reducing downtime, and improving overall equipment efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Candidates with a manufacturing background and experience in assembling, repairing, and maintaining production-related machinery will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Management & Maintenance

• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of all manufacturing and production-related machinery.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper calibration, alignment, and functionality of all production equipment.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement to prevent disruptions.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in production machinery.
• Provide immediate technical support for equipment breakdowns and production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, repairs, and maintenance activities.

3. Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement

• Analyze machine performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Implement automation and efficiency enhancements to improve production output.

4. Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise and mentor equipment engineers and technicians to enhance their skills.
• Conduct training sessions on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment handling and maintenance.

5. Compliance & Safety Management

• Ensure all equipment maintenance and repair activities comply with Malaysian safety regulations and industry standards.
• Promote workplace safety best practices, particularly for high-voltage machinery and automation systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures for safety improvements.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in equipment maintenance and management.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with manufacturing and production-related machinery.
• Proven leadership experience in managing a team of engineers and technicians.

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in equipment installation, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Familiarity with PLC systems, CNC machines, and industrial automation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent team collaboration and leadership skills.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.

Language Proficiency:

• Mandarin (required) for communication with technical teams and headquarters.
• English (preferred) for reporting and workplace coordination.
