AOI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Program, set up, and maintain AOI machines for PCB/PCBA inspection

2. Develop and optimize AOI inspection programs for new product introduction (NPI)

3. Analyze AOI results to identify defect trends and root causes

4. Reduce false calls while maintaining high defect detection rates

5. Work with Process, Quality, and Production teams to resolve inspection issues

6. Support first article inspection (FAI) and engineering change implementation

7. Perform regular AOI machine calibration, maintenance, and verification

8. Create and maintain AOI documentation, work instructions, and inspection standards

9. Provide technical support and training to operators and technicians

10. Assist in continuous improvement and yield enhancement activities

REQUIREMENT

1. Bachelor's degreREQUIREMENe or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

2. 2–5 years of experience working with AOI systems in electronics manufacturing

3. Hands-on experience with AOI platforms (e.g., Koh Young, Mirtec, Omron, CyberOptics, Saki, etc.)

4. Strong understanding of PCB/PCBA processes, SMT, and electronic components

5. Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and Gerber files

6. Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721) is a plus

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
