About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Dekad Jitu Sdn Bhd. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a safe working environment on our construction sites in Gelang Patah, Johor. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the wellbeing of our workforce and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Monitor daily on-site activities to ensure compliance with the project's HSE requirements, regulations and company policies
  2. Conduct tool box talks, daily briefing and site walkabouts to reinforce safety awareness among workers and subcontractors
  3. Identify unsafe practices, hazards and potential risks, promptly report and recommend corrective measures to the Safety & Health Officer (SHO) and project management
  4. Assist in the enforcement of safety rules and regulations in line with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and DOSH requirement
  5. Support incident and accident investigations, prepare preliminary reports and follow up on corrective actions
  6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
  7. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to site safety

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma in Civil Engineering, Safety & Health Course, Construction Management or other related field
  2. Minimum at least 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry
  3. Registered SSS with DOSH/Yellow Book
  4. CIDB Green Card and Expressway Passport (EOSP) Holder
  5. Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all levels of personnel
  7. Familiar with construction methods, materials and machinery
  8. Knowledge in Hazard Identification & reflection in work area
