Chargeman (BO)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Chargeman BO (33kV) to lead the operations of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic power plant. The Control Room Supervisor will oversee real-time monitoring, HV/LV equipment operations, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and coordination of field teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform 12/7 monitoring of plant performance via SCADA.

2. Analyze alarms, identify abnormalities, and coordinate immediate corrective actions.

3. Ensure accurate logging of events, outages, equipment status, and operational activities.

4. Electrical Operations & Safety

• Operate and supervise 33kV  switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
• Perform HV/LV isolation, LOTO, and switching operations according to TNB & ST regulations.
• Ensure compliance with the Electricity Supply Act and ST requirements.

5. Maintenance Coordination

• Assign and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Review daily/weekly maintenance plans, PTW, and site work safety assessments.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily operational reports, incident reports, and switching records.
• Maintain compliance documents for audits by ST, TNB, SEDA, and internal HSE.

Skills Required:

• Ability to perform HV switching operations
• Knowledge of solar PV plant operations
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, inverters, and power monitoring
• Leadership and supervisory skills

• Chargeman BO Certificate – 33kV (ST)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HV/ LV operations
