Durioo+ is a dynamic tech start-up company located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. It was founded by the creative thing behind the creative mind behind the phenomenally successful preschool cartoons Omar & Hana and Didi & Friends. Both cartoons have amassed more than 18 million subscribers and an incredible 8 billion views on YouTube. As a proud member of Y-Combinator (W22), Durioo+ serves as a safe streaming platform for animations and videos designed specifically for children.

Durioo+ operates on a subscription-based model. We produce, co-produce, and license entertaining, ethical, and meaningful content tailored for children. Launched in February 2022, we already boast more than 36,000 paid subscribers and host over 16,000 pieces of content on our platform and numbers are growing every month. All our content is meticulously curated to align with Islamic teachings and values.

Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to develop high-quality visual assets across print, digital media, and merchandise. In this role, you will be responsible for designing marketing materials such as posters, flyers, brochures, and social media graphics, as well as preparing artwork for print production and branded merchandise. You will also contribute to event materials, ensuring brand consistency across all designs. Collaborating with various teams, you will play a key role in delivering visually appealing and impactful designs while maintaining organized asset management and upholding quality standards.

Background & Experience

• Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in different design projects.
• Strong illustration skills and ability to draw or sketch (by hand or digitally) to develop original artwork, character concepts, and creative visuals for merchandise and campaigns.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and visual composition.
• Experience with branding and marketing design projects.
• Understanding of target audiences and ability to create designs that resonate with different demographics.
• Ability to adapt designs for various platforms, including digital, print, and merchandise.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Creation: Develop high-quality visual assets for print, digital media, and merchandise, including posters, flyers, brochures, and social media graphics.
• Illustration & Sketching: Create original hand-drawn or digital illustrations, doodles, and sketches to bring creative ideas to life, especially for merchandise and branding concepts.
• Print Production: Prepare and optimize artwork for printing, including working with print vendors to ensure high-quality production and timely delivery.
• Merchandise Design: Create eye-catching designs for branded merchandise, including t-shirts, mugs, bags, and event-specific items.
• Branding and Marketing Collateral: Develop designs that support branding and marketing efforts, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.
• Event Materials: Design event-related materials, including signage, banners, and promotional items for conferences, trade shows, and corporate events.
• Asset Management: Organize and maintain design files, ensuring they are accessible and well-documented for future use.
• Collaborative Work: Work closely with other teams, including marketing and event coordinators, to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs are produced to the highest standard, meeting both aesthetic and technical specifications.|
