Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Suzhou, China, for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems, developing detailed product designs, and utilizing CAD software for modeling and drafting. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop efficient machine designs, optimize designs for manufacturing, and ensure full compliance with relevant industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in design engineering and product design principles, with the ability to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Expertise in machine design and mechanical engineering, including the development, testing, and optimization of mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in CNC fabrication or automation system design is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical components and proficiency in CAD software.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to China for meetings; proficiency in Chinese is considered an added advantage.
  • The salary package will be above the local market rate in Malaysia, depending on position and experience, and includes an attractive bonus structure.
