POSITION: SHIPCARE MANAGER

Summary

As a Shipcare Manager, you will be responsible in ensuring all daily operations of the department are carried out in accordance with the standard procedures. Establish and maintain the highest standard of quality and service as specified in your respective job descriptions while supporting the company's goals, missions and vision. You are also responsible for the commercial aspect of the department in ensuring their profitability.

Any other duties that may be given to you from time to time by the management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Managing Director

  • Manage, guide, coach, plan and coordinate the department on the day-to-day running of operations, administration, costing, billing, reporting and commercial correspondences
  • Work closely with other departments within the company and the group in fulfilling customers' requirements, maintaining work efficiency, high productivity and maximizing the workforce utilization
  • Prepare the financial and statistical data and report. To ensure all reports are readily available for management review on daily, weekly or monthly basis
  • Initiate, plan, recommend and contribute to the implementation of any new procedures, SOP strict compliance, KPI monitoring, appropriate resolution on any issues and internal control of the department
  • Assist the Management in the business plan, strategic alliance internally and externally including the Ship Management partners and vessel owners, new & existing customers relationship and operational assessments in order to generate and grow the volume and businesses
  • Keeps abreast, updates and implements new rules, regulations and legislation relevant to the organisation and the operation of the vessels. Monitors ships and ensures compliance with the ISM, ISPS, ISO and international regulatory requirements
  • Monitors adherence to the department's risk management procedures, HSE and operating standards. Develops a framework to manage risk in the department and oversees the implementation of workflow improvement
  • Ensure that all cost related work is in compliance with the procurement procedure and familiar with project budgeting preparation and control in ensuring the project executed within the budgeted cost
  • Manages the overall execution of project works which involve plan, organize, direct and work delegation to ensure that all project requirements and objectives including equipment, schedule, cost, quality and safety are fulfilled.
  • Monitors job execution (onshore & offshore). Review, approve & coordinate material/services requisition & monitor delivery to onshore & offshore
  • Analyses project progress during execution, advise team members on the changes/delay to critical path activities. Prepare mitigation plan or revise planning if project is behind schedule. Perform changes to schedule (if any) based on any new additional scope or change of execution plan
  • Responsible for the overall project performance and provide consistent project status reporting to the Management
  • Monitor documents require for Final Documentation & invoicing. Responsible for controlling and monitoring project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded without any leakage
  • Responsible for the development and management of an effective and responsive full spectrum of asset lay-up management and related facilities/equipment maintenance. To develop, review and implement procedures related to asset lay-up management
  • To administer and coordinate asset and equipment being registered, tagged, undergoing scheduled maintenance and to monitor relevant equipment certification
  • Monitors the Shipcare Team in planning and executing watchmen services, regular routine and maintenance on board the vessels/assets for regular reporting to clients
  • Liaise & consult with contractor/client for any issue raised onboard lay-up vessel/ asset in ensuring that all business operations are carried out in safe and efficient manner
  • Administers assets lost and damaged by providing report to the client and the relevant authorities and to propose solution to rectify the issues

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8, RM10,000.00 per month
