We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Supervisor to join our team at Progress Centre Engineering Sdn Bhd, based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. In this contract role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of our engineering projects, providing technical expertise and on-site supervision to ensure the highest standards are met.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
  • Provide on-site supervision and technical guidance to project teams, ensuring work is carried out safely and in compliance with specifications and regulations
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues, monitor progress, and report on project status
  • Identify and resolve technical problems, recommending solutions to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with the design team to review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
  • Participate in the preparation of project reports, budgets, and other documentation as required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a project engineering or supervisory role, preferably within the engineering industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Familiarity with ACMV/HVAC, project management software and tools
  • Ability to work in a team environment and mentor junior team members
