Staff Engineer (Engineering Build Team - EBT)Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia – OSRAM OS PenangWhat we expectTechnical & Strategy : Relates Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify opportunities for cross-functional initiatives. Defines and executes improvement activities to enhance process efficiency, with a focus on reducing cycle time.Acts as a bridge between R&D EBT and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and alignment across functions.Provides mentorship to the team by sharing knowledge, best practices, and guidance to support skill development and performance improvement.Drives a culture of continuous improvement by leading Kaizen events and proposing innovative ideas to sustain and enhance operational efficiency.Who we are looking forBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Typically a minimum of 3-5 years of total experience in R&D, process development, or a high-volume manufacturing environment.2-3 years in a technical leadership or project management capacity.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in leading a team.Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is often required.Strong knowledge in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to optimize data flow and production controlStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for data analysis, Power Bll, and AIStrong communication skillams OSRAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
