Temporary Math Teacher

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and capable individual to provide instructional support in AP Statistics and AP Calculus for a period of three months. This temporary position is to cover a teacher who is on maternity leave. The role is ideal for an intern, tutor, or early-career educator with a strong background in mathematics and statistics who is eager to contribute in an academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning in AP Statistics and AP Calculus classes under the guidance of the STEM Department.
• Assist students with understanding course materials, solving problems, and preparing for assessments.
• Collaborate with the department team to ensure continuity in lesson delivery and learning outcomes.
• Support classroom management and student engagement in line with school policies.
• Provide feedback to students and teachers on learning progress and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Background in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field (undergraduate students or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong knowledge of high school–level Calculus and Statistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
• Responsible, punctual, and adaptable to a fast-paced academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in tutoring or classroom assistance (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with AP curriculum is an advantage.
