The Marine Interface CSR acts as the key liaison between marine operations and project execution teams, ensuring that all offshore, shipyard, and marine-related activities comply with regulatory, client, and internal standards.

This role is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on marine interface activities, including vessel mobilization, load-out, transportation, and offshore installation operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and operational requirements are met.

Description

  • Serve as the point of contact for marine interface activities between offshore operations, fabrication/shipyard teams, and project management.
  • Review and monitor marine operations, including load-out, lifting, transportation, and offshore installation.
  • Verify vessel, barge, and offshore support craft compliance with class society rules, regulatory standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and audits on marine equipment, vessel preparation, and interface points to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Coordinate with project teams and contractors to ensure marine interface risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Prepare and submit CSR reports, documenting inspections, compliance status, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Support Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS), OVID/SIRE inspections, and other marine assurance activities as required.
  • Track marine equipment and vessel readiness for mobilization and offshore deployment.
  • Provide technical advice on marine operations, load-out, and lifting activities.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, classification society requirements, and regulatory changes affecting marine operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 510 years experience in marine, offshore, or shipyard operations, preferably in a CSR or marine interface role.
  • Possess Offshore medical and safety training: BOSIET/HUET or equivalent.
  • Relevant marine surveying or QA certifications.
  • Familiarity with class society or regulatory inspection standards preferred.
  • Experience with dynamic positioning vessels, heavy-lift barges, or FPSO/FLNG projects.
  • Familiarity with Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS), OVID/SIRE inspections, or equivalent assurance frameworks.
  • Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET/HUET) and project management exposure.
  • Knowledge of marine operations, vessel stability, load-out procedures, and offshore installation practices.
  • Familiarity with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, OCIMF, and classification society requirements.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage marine interface risks effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail and technical judgment.
  • High professional integrity and impartiality.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making in high-risk marine environments.
