The Store Keeper is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations including receiving, recording, storing, issuing, and controlling inventory materials, consumables, and tools. The role ensures all materials are accounted for, properly stored, and efficiently distributed to support ongoing projects and operations in compliance with company policies and safety standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Inventory Management

Receive, inspect, and verify materials and equipment against delivery orders and purchase requisitions.

Maintain up-to-date stock records (manual and digital).

Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with the system.

Ensure materials are properly labelled, arranged, and stored safely.

Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for consumable materials.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.

B. Store Operations

Issue materials to authorized personnel based on approved requisitions.

Handle returned items and update records accordingly.

Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Report damaged or defective materials promptly to the superior.

Assist in packing and dispatching materials to project sites when required.

C. Safety & Compliance

Follow company Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) procedures at all times.

Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (if applicable).

Participate in safety briefings, fire drills, and store inspections.

Maintain compliance with company ISO, 5S, and audit requirements.

D. Coordination

Work closely with Procurement, Project, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Notify Procurement on low stock levels and coordinate for replenishment.

Support project mobilization/demobilization by tracking material movement and returns.

3. Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Minimum SPM; Diploma in Logistics, Warehouse, or Supply Chain preferred.

Experience: At least 2 years in warehouse/storekeeping (engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of stock management and documentation procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory software.

Forklift driving experience is an advantage.

Good interpersonal, teamwork, and time management skills.

Physical: Must be physically fit and able to handle warehouse duties safely.

4. Working Conditions

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Working Hours:

In compliance with the Employment Act 1955 (Amendment 2023/2024) –

Monday to Friday: 8.00 AM – 5.00 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)

Saturday: 8.00 AM – 12.00 PM

Total Weekly Hours: Not exceeding 45 hours per week

Overtime: Payable as per Employment Act provisions.

Uniform & PPE: Provided by the company.

Probation Period: 6 months.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,400.00 per month
