Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Test Engineer specializing in manual testing to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our iOS, Android, and IoT systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing firmware, embedded systems, and working with simulators. You will be responsible for designing test plans, executing test cases, identifying issues, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Test IoT devices, firmware updates, and embedded firmware to verify functionality, performance, and stability.
  • Utilize simulators, emulators, and real devices to validate application and firmware behavior across different environments.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
  • Collaborate with firmware developers, embedded engineers, and software teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new features or fixes do not impact existing functionality.
  • Validate firmware updates and embedded system performance in real-world scenarios.
  • Create detailed test reports, documentation, and test case documentation.
  • Participate in test planning, review test cases, and provide feedback for process improvements.
  • Ensure testing activities align with project timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in manual testing of mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Experience testing IoT systems, firmware, and embedded firmware.
  • Familiarity with firmware update processes and embedded firmware development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of simulators, emulators, and hardware testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, bug life cycle, and test documentation.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic scripting or automation skills are a plus.
  • Experience with hardware testing and interfacing with IoT devices.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee).
  • Familiarity with network testing and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of firmware development and deployment processes.
