1. Office-Based Engineering Support

· Assist in preparing EIT design drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

· Work closely with vessel Chief Engineers, Marine Superintendents, and Technical Superintendents or Senior Engineers for fleet support, such as EIT repair specifications, procurement, material listings and cost estimations.

· Review EIT related equipment documentations and assist in technical evaluation of vendor quotations.

· Prepare technical reports and assist in budgetary estimates for maintenance or repair works.

· Maintain up-to-date records of vessel electrical systems and modification history.

· Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination between shipyards, suppliers, and internal departments.Provide technical assistance during emergency response and troubleshooting.

2.Projects, Drydock & Ship Repair Attendance

· Attend projects, vessel dry dockings or repair sites to assist with inspection and supervision of EIT works.

· Ensure that EIT installation, testing, and commissioning meet classification society, flag state, and company requirements.

· Participate in periodic surveys, audits, and drydock repair planning related to EIT equipment.

· Support in troubleshooting EIT systems onboard vessels and perform corrective maintenance.

· Coordinate with shipyard engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues during project execution.

· Prepare technical reports and feedback following site visits, inspections, and testing activities.

· Coordinate with third-party contractors and service vendors for inspection, repair, or calibration activities for EIT systems

3. Documentation & Compliance Support

· Assist in ensuring EIT designs and repairs comply with marine standards (e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL and IACS).

· Maintain and update EIT maintenance records either by manual or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

· Support risk assessments and method statements for EIT work.

· Help maintain Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards by participating in safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for EIT activities

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in electrical / Instrumentation Engineering. Engineering, Marine Engineering (Electrical), or related field.

· 0–3 years of relevant experience (marine/offshore/Electrical & Instrumentation systems preferred).

· Knowledge on shipboard electrical and control systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, automation, navigation, communication, instrumentations).

· Basic understanding of marine classification and regulatory requirements.

· Proficiency Electrical design and instrumentation software tools preferred.

· Good computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD, CMMS)

· Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Willingness to travel locally or internationally for vessel attendance or drydock assignments.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

· Experience with PLCs, automation systems, or shipboard instrumentation.

· Knowledge of marine standards such as BV, ABS, CCS or Lloyd's Register.

· Previous internship or shipyard experience in vessel repair/conversion projects.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Detail-oriented with good documentation discipline.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

· Safety-conscious and team-oriented attitude.

· Eagerness to learn and grow into a full-fledged EIT Engineer role.

Working Conditions:

· Primarily office-based with periods of travel to shipyards, ports, or onboard vessels.

· May involve short-term or long-term assignments during drydock or project commissioning phases.
