FA Engineer

Position Overview

FA Engineer serves as a technical liaison between the company and its clients, providing pre-sales and post-sales support for complex products. This role combines engineering expertise with customer-facing responsibilities to ensure successful product implementation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions to ensure clients understand product capabilities and usage.
• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal product performance.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized solutions that meet their specific requirements.
• Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improvement.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to align customer needs with product offerings.
• Utilize and calibrate precision measurement tools such as calipers, pin gauges, smart scopes, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including programming and operating Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), Process Capability (Cp, Cpk) studies, and support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, inspections, and quality reports. Ensure proper filing and organization of technical documents.
• Provide ongoing support for daily measurement and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.

• Technical Proficiency:

• Proficiency in using and calibrating measurement tools such as calipers, pin gauges, smart scopes, and CMMs.

• Experience in programming and operating Mitutoyo CMMs.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods.

• Quality Assurance Knowledge:

• Experience with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), Control Plans (CP), Cpk studies, and PPAP processes.

• Ability to perform and interpret GR&R (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.

• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and measurement software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
