Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimation, measurement and bill of quantities based on the tender documents, drawings and specifications for both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
  • Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis, budgeting and recommend for approvals.
  • To prepare, manage and evaluate Subcontractor, Letter Awards and other related documents.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply an extension of time if necessary.
  • Accountable for pre and post-contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, variation order, and final accounts.
  • Work closely with site personnels to address issues that may lead to extensions of time (EOT), variation orders (VO), or changes in working conditions from those stipulated in the contract.
  • Prepare and manage progress claims, sub-contractor payments, and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits for valuation, joint measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
  • Prepare final measurement and account.
  • Assist in value engineering, cost optimization and budget setting.

Requirements:

  • Possess Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
  • At least 2 - 5 Year(s) of working experience is required in civil, infrastructure or building works.
  • Good in Taking-off and Contracts Administrative Works.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary, and materials budget handling skills.
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem-solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and respond with an appropriate level of urgency.
  • Highly reliable, and confident with handling data.
  • Possess good communication / negotiation skills, meticulous, independent, and able to work in fast-pace environment.
  • Good working attitude.
