  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a company's Boiler and Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Boiler

  • Operate the steam boiler according to the required operations parameters.
  • To perform daily checks on a boiler's motor, pump, fan and other related valves and fitting to ensure that all the equipment's are running in good order (Total Preventive Maintenance).
  • To raise a job requisition if any of the equipment's needs repair, service or to be replaced and submit it to the Engineering section.
  • Ensure that the boiler premise is kept within a reasonable 5S standard, and all staircase, stairwell and walkways are clear of any obstructions and all daily tools and or accessories used for the daily operations or maintenance of the boiler is kept in good order.
  • To carry out the teardown, cleaning and maintenance of the steam boiler in preparation for the yearly audit / inspection from the relevant authorities concerned (Statutory bodies/mandatory requirement).
  • Report to the immediate superior on any urgent action that requires immediate action to be taken to ensure that no outward incident will happen to the boilers.
  • Involve in safety and health committee activities are compulsory.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the boiler and ensure that the premises are maintained in tip top conditions at all times.
  • Record daily boiler operation data in logbook.
  • To perform and carry out other task and work that are assigned by the management from time to time.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations

  • Execute process sampling to accurately gauge and monitor levels
  • Monitor wastewater operations
  • Analyze instantaneous and historical data to decide on needed operational adjustments
  • Assist operating management in the installation and maintenance of environmental compliance measures
  • Assist management in interpreting and applying technical regulatory requirements
  • Log all operational data and produce frequent reports
  • Troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data and mechanical problems
  • Perform basic maintenance, repair and calibration
  • Respond to any related emergencies
  • Work closely with adjacent farming operations to insure land application of treated wastewater is compliant
  • Monitor cost control measures for environmental compliance
  • Remain up-to-date on new developments in regulatory changes
  • Communicate effectively with plant management regarding all waste treatment

Essential Criteria

  • Candidate must possess Steam Boiler Grade 1 Certified issued by DOSH.
  • Minimum SPM qualification Vocational Diploma/ Certificate or equivalent.
  • At least 2 -3 year(s) of boiler hands-on operation experience manufacturing/production field.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  • Report compilation and writing skills.
  • Preferable work knowledge in manufacturing industry.
