About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Head, Integrated Risk Management to lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives supporting the organisation's risk functions. This role collaborates closely with Group Risk, business teams and technology units to implement, enhance and govern risk-related systems across the organisation.

You will oversee technology operations, risk system implementations, and the development of IT governance structures that strengthen the organisation's risk resiliency. This includes strategic planning, solutioning, and acting as the key point of contact for all IT-related needs within risk and corporate functions.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of the banking risk domain, and proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Technology Strategy & Governance

  • Partner with Group Risk to drive risk technology initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee risk-related technology operations and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, governance frameworks and technical standards.
  • Analyse departmental business requirements to define risk technology needs and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, audit requirements and internal policies.

2. Risk System Design & Implementation

  • Lead design, enhancement and implementation of risk management systems and solutions.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices, security, scalability, and risk principles.
  • Drive continuous improvements to uplift risk processes, reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Support integration between risk systems and enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure system readiness, stability and resilience for risk operations.

3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as the main liaison between technology teams, Group Risk, and all front-line stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations of senior leadership and internal customers across operational functions.
  • Provide clear communication on project progress, risks, and technical dependencies.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with risk, compliance, audit, operations and IT units.

4. Project & Delivery Management

  • Lead and manage multiple simultaneous risk technology initiatives.
  • Apply structured project management practices to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments, impact evaluations and solution feasibility studies.
  • Ensure effective change management processes for system upgrades and new implementations.
  • Measure project success through defect reduction, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical, implementation and change management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Good understanding of Banking Risk concepts, trends and operating models.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations, risk governance standards and industry compliance.
  • Ability to analyse complex situations, identify underlying issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of banking facilities, credit processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in implementing and/or managing risk systems within financial institutions or large enterprises.
  • High integrity, professionalism and strong work ethics.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Program / Project Management, Agile, Scrum or ITIL certifications.
  • Banking Risk certifications (e.g., FRM, CRM, CRP) are an added advantage.
