Company Background:

A growing manufacturing company based in Senai, Johor, specializing in precision machining, metal surface treatment, and semiconductor component production. Also includes equipment fabrication, hygienic materials manufacturing, and technical import/export services. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize surface treatment processes (e.g., electro-polishing, chemical washing) for stainless steel components.
  • Evaluate and select suitable chemicals, tools, and techniques to achieve specific surface finishes.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to introduce new surface treatment methods into manufacturing.
  • Continuously improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance surface quality.
  • Monitor and maintain process control systems to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Operate and maintain surface treatment equipment; ensure they function under optimal conditions.
  • Analyze production data to identify root causes of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain surface quality standards; support QA in addressing non-conformities.
  • Prepare documentation, SOPs, and technical reports related to surface treatment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in Surface finishing, Electro-polishing, Industrial chemical washing.
  • Familiar with various surface treatment techniques and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical drawings and industrial process flow.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, both written and verbal (due to coordination with China-based team).
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.

Salary Range: MYR 4,000 - 8,000
