Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design of our eCommerce platform, driving exceptional user experiences that align with business objectives. You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion user-centred design at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for complex eCommerce projects, from discovery and research to high-fidelity prototyping and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
  • Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and stakeholders to align design strategies with business goals.
  • Advocate for best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance the customer journey and improve conversion rates.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to senior leadership and stakeholders effectively.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies to continuously elevate the design practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex eCommerce or digital product work.
  • Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Experience creating and managing comprehensive design systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion design and advanced interaction design.
  • Background in SEO-conscious design and analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics or similar for user behaviour analysis.
