Drafter Executive

Position Overview:

The Project Drafter will play a critical role in our project delivery process by creating accurate and detailed shop drawings while also coordinating project status updates including deliveries, site statuses, and more. This position requires strong drafting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

-Create detailed and accurate shop drawings based on architectural and engineering plans.

-Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings.

-Review project specifications and requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

-Manage and organize project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant materials.

-Collaborate with the production team to ensure that drawings are produced efficiently and meet project deadlines.

-Track project status including deliveries, site progress, and any changes or revisions.

-Communicate project updates and changes to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

-Assist in resolving any design or technical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

-Maintain accurate records of project-related correspondence, meetings, and decisions.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or related field.

-Proven experience in drafting, preferably in the construction industry.

-Proficient in AutoCAD; experience in BIM (Revit) is highly preferred.

-Strong understanding of technical drawings, detailing, and construction documentation.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

-Knowledge of construction processes and building codes.

-Experience with project management software is a plus.
