Job Summary:

We are seeking an Oracle and Java Performance Expert to proactively analyze, optimize, and enhance

performance across our Java, Middleware, and Oracle ecosystems. The role involves hands-on expertise

in Java, WebSphere/JBoss, and API Management, ensuring application excellence and platform stability

in a growing production environment.

This is not a standard DBA admin role — we are looking for a technical problem-solver and performance

architect capable of leading deep-dive analysis and strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

● Define and enforce standards for API governance, Java best practices, and middleware

configurations.

● Provide performance tuning expertise for Java applications and middleware platforms, including

memory management and garbage collection optimization.

● Act as top-tier escalation support for complex technical issues related to API management, Java

performance, and application servers.

● Mentor and train developers; support code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

● Collaborate on database migration from SPARC + Solaris 11 to IBM P10 + AIX Oracle

environments.

● Ensure high performance and maintain production SLAs across ~200 Oracle databases.

● Contribute to the continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Required Skills (but not limited to):

● Strong expertise in Java and related frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate.

● Middleware expertise: WebSphere, JBoss.

● API Management: WSO2 or equivalent API management platforms.

● Security protocols: OAuth, OpenID.

● DevOps tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes; Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).

● Database: Oracle performance tuning and migration experience.

● Cloud: Knowledge of Azure Cloud is a plus.
