About the role

HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD is seeking a motivated and talented Oracle Performance Expert to join our team in Kuala Lumpur This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.

What you'll be doing

  • Participation to several infrastructure projects, define collaboratively with stakeholders some target architecture (Oracle base):

  • Taking into account the storage constraints in terms of performance, backup and restore, regulations, and drps.

  • Support performance testing as part of projects

  • Analyze in specific cases the activity on PROD DBs and make recommendations (Application and Infrastructure)

  • Monitoring of DBs and performing recommendations of optimization towards IT applicative teams and infrastructure teams for short/Mid and long terms situations.

  • Support Applicative and Infra teams into the implementation of these optimizations.

  • Bring a support and expertise on Oracle Database when some applicative or infrastructure optimizations are being implemented.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in information technology
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Oracle DB development
  • Experience in Oracle 19c with Active Data Guard / Oracle Enterprise Manager (+ v11 and 12 remnants) / PostgreSQL
  • Hands-On with Oracle Stream (Remnant or Attunity)
  • Expérience with SPARC or IBM Power 10
  • Expérience with Solaris 11 or AIX 7.2/7.3 or RHEL
  • Familiarity to Application Servers: IBM WAS / JBoss
  • Knowledge of VTOM and TWS Schedulers
  • Knowledge in ElasticSearch Kibana
  • Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, listening and advising are soft skills that we will be vigilant on.
